Dozens of professors, lecturers, doctors and senior officials in the Israeli academy gathered before tonight's protest for a demonstration by academics in favor of judicial reform at the Chords Bridge in Jerusalem.
Among the participants were Israel Prize winner Professor Israel Uman, Bar Ilan University Rector Professor Amnon Albek, former Bar Ilan Rector Professor Hanoch Lavi, former Ariel University Rector Professor Tsila Sinouani-Stern, jurist Prof. Talia Einhorn, deans and heads of other departments.
Professor Uman said: "We came to protest against the dictatorship of unelected people who impose their position on the public. This requires judicial reform."
