The Hadassah Medical Center reports that Mordechai Gideon, the 28-year-old wounded man who was taken to the Hadassah Ein Kerem trauma unit this morning (Tuesday) after being injured in the shooting attack on Route 60 in Binyamin, underwent surgery due to a significant injury to his arm.
Prof. Yoram Weil, director of the orthopedic trauma unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem who operated on Mordechai, commented that during the orthopedic surgery Mordechai was treated for a crushed fracture of one of the bones of the forearm in minimally invasive surgery. "I believe that we achieved a good stabilization of the fracture that will allow a full recovery and a return to full function of the hand in the future. Mordechai is recovering from the operation and is doing well."
