The Magistrate's Court in Tiberias released from custody this morning (Tuesday) an army veteran who tried to set fire to the office of the IDF's rehabilitation department in the city yesterday. The court also mandated that the man leave the city.

The man (38), whose application for recognition as an IDF disabled veteran had been previously rejected, was slightly injured in the incident.

The Ministry of Defense stated that the person in question served as a combat soldier between the years of 2006-2008. It was also reported that his request to be recognized as a wounded veteran following the Second Lebanon War was examined by specialists and rejected in 2013.
