Earlier today, Prime Minister Netanyahu met with a delegation of Democratic members of Congress. The delegation was led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. The meeting was held in the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu thanked Congressman Jeffries and the other members of the delegation for their support of Israel and stressed the importance of the relationship between the United States and Israel.
Among the issues discussed was the necessity of preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and the importance of the Abraham Accords and of expanding them to more countries.
Ron Dermer, Israel's Minister for Strategic Affairs, also participated in the meeting, along with the U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides, the Prime Minister's adviser in matters of state Ofir Falk, and the deputy head of the National Security Council, Avivit Bar Ilan.
