The National Civilian Service honorees were invited together with the Director General of the National Civilian Service Authority Reuven Pinsky to the general rehearsal for the traditional torch lighting ceremony on Mount Herzl.
Pinsky commented "We are excited to announce the election of the outstanding volunteers from the Civilian National Service, who constitute a microcosm of Israeli society. The National Civilian Service works to strengthen the social-national resilience in the State of Israel and helps tens of thousands of people every day through its 18,000 volunteers in all walks of life. The State of Israel and the President of the State thank and salute these wonderful young people for their significant work on the civil front of Israeli society."
