About a quarter of the calls to the ARAN mental health hotline in the last four months were because of the social, security and political situation in Israel.

Shiri Daniels, a manager at the hotline, told the Knesset's youth committee that in the last four months the hotline received 74,000 inquiries, 20-25% of which (about 18,000 inquiries) dealt with the socio-political situation.

5% of the calls come from teenagers, soldiers and young people and about 50% from parents who are worried about their children and their future.
