Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich has appealed to Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs with a request to "immediately stop the submission of the state's answer regarding [the decision not to evacuate] Khan al-Ahmar."
Smotrich wrote to Fuchs that, "much to my surprise, the content of the state's answer that was forwarded to me for approval is not consistent with my policy and the government's policy as I understand it."
He noted that "Section 21.4 of the annex to the coalition agreement states that the state's answers submitted to the Supreme Court will be approved by the additional minister in the Ministry of Defense."
