The US ambassador to Israel, Thomas Nides, has expressed his great concern over a recent ADL report showing a spike in anti-Semitic attacks in the United States.
"We must speak out against anti-Semitism when we see any such incidents," Nides told Reshet Bet. "When a person walks down the street in a yarmulka, he should not be attacked. I'm in favor of people's right to express their opinions, but not to harm others.
"In the United States, we're giving more money to communities to protect themselves. But this increase in anti-Semitism isn't being seen only in the United States - it's also in Europe and we have to relate to it as a global phenomenon."
