During 2022, around 2,400 new files were opened for Holocaust survivors receiving legal aid from the Justice Ministry, including hundreds of survivors of the siege of Leningrad who were recognized for the first time as Holocaust survivors and began to receive a monthly allowance.
In addition, over the past year, legal aid activity was increased for Holocaust survivors who joined the partisans during the Second World War, helping them to exercise their rights and obtain financial assistance.
All Holocaust survivors or those who are in contact with them are urged to contact the Legal Aid department at the Justice Ministry to make sure that they are receive all the rights they deserve.
