Responding to reports that the government is close to passing a new Draft Law regularizing the status of haredi students, Likud MK Danny Danon told Galei Tzahal that the army doesn't even want haredi recruits.
"Many governments have attempted to reach a solution on this issue and have failed," Danon said. "The army isn't really interested in having haredim serve in the IDF, and the proposed outline is good from an economic perspective, although if haredim don't respond by joining the workforce it will be problematic."
