A new Draft Law concerning haredi recruits to the IDF appears to be in the offing, according to a report on Reshet Bet, with the government considering a temporary law that will remain in force for just 10 years and that will include a stipulation that haredim become exempt from the draft at the age of 21, rather than 26 as they currently are.

Making the law a temporary one is apparently designed to overcome the objections of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who is opposed to lowering the age of exemption.
