US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Tuesday that former National Security Council and Justice Department official Matthew Miller would be appointed as the State Department's new spokesperson.
Miller replaces Ned Price, who stepped down from the role last month to take up a new position within the State Department, reporting to Blinken.
