Roy Neuman, one of the leaders of the protests against Israel's legal reform, was summoned for questioning.

Neuman's lawyer said, "Instead of fighting terrorism and dealing with the violence and incitement directed against protesters every day, police are dealing with those who are waging a non-violent democratic struggle" in defense of her client.

"This is a political trial designed to silence and threaten those criticizing the government and opposing its dictatorship. These are the methods implemented by the worst dictatorships and this is how the country will look if the [legal reform] coup d'état is passed," she added.
