Activists from leftist and Arab organizations will march at noon from the entrance to the Arab-Israeli city of Umm al-Fahm to the city hall, in protest of what they labeled as "the government's intention to establish a 'national guard' that will be subordinate to Minister Ben-Gvir and be used to carry out violent attacks against the Arab sector and political opponents."
The "Standing Together" movement, which is leading the protest, also criticized the IAF's attack on the Gaza Strip.
"Those who really want to ensure security should do the opposite - fight together, Arabs and Jews, to end the occupation, and make peace. Only peace guarantees our future here. This is exactly what everyone who lives in this country deserves," they were quoted as saying.
