The person killed in the helicopter crash this morning (Tuesday) is Omer Lerer from Moshav Beit Hanania. "An enormous sorrow has fallen upon us. Our dear friend Omer Lerer, an El Al pilot, died today in a civil helicopter accident. Our hearts go out to his dear family."
"Omer, from Moshav Beit Hanania, was a charming and pleasant man, an aviator through and through, who flew countless different aircraft. Omer left us too soon and prematurely. May he test in peace," said the Israeli Pilots Union.
