Labor Party leader MK Merav Michaeli commented on the talks taking place at the President's House: "The position of the Labor Party is unequivocally against increasing the number of coalition members in the committee for selecting judges. The committee must be professional and not political. Perhaps because of our position, the team of the Labor Party was not invited to the President's house yesterday - I am proud of that. I said all along that our goal in the talks is to strengthen democracy, not to compromise on it."
