The Regavim movement welcomed the establishment of the National Guard, stating: "We shouted and warned daily against the loss of governance and personal security in the Negev and Galilee for many years, and we demanded a significant reinforcement of the internal security system from the previous Netanyahu governments, through the Bennett-Lapid government and again at this time. There is no one who does not remember how these warnings were realized during Operation Guardian of the Walls in cities with significant Arab and Jewish populations."

They also said in the movement: "The government's decision to establish the National Guard is a first step in taking responsibility and correcting a long-standing failure, a step that receives broad political approval from Barlev to Bennet. There is no place for cheap politics when it comes to the personal security of Israeli citizens."
