The leaders of the "Fight the Dictatorship'' protest against the judicial reform proposals are outraged at the intention to establish a National Guard that will be subordinated to National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
"We learn that Netanyahu, as part of the coup d'état, intends to establish state-funded private militias under Ben Gvir and Smotrich, La Familia and Hawara militias under the auspices of the state. If the militias are established, it will be the actual beginning of the regime coup. This would signify a disaster for all of us and, de facto, the end of Israeli democracy,'' they said.
