The Knesset plenum approved in a preliminary reading the bill for Orphans' Families Day in Israel. The bill was submitted by MK Yosef Taieb of Shas.
According to the proposal, an annual national day of celebration will be established for the strengthening and empowerment of orphan families expressing Israeli society's commitment to their rights.
