Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai and designated minister Dudi Amsalem discussed the tensions between them following Amsalem's harsh words yesterday.

It was reported that "the conversation was conducted in a good and positive atmosphere. Amsalem expressed his great appreciation for the Commissioner and clarified that his intention was to back him up to act as he sees fit and to condemn the various threats and public pressure exerted on him in order to prevent him from maintaining public order. The two chose to move on and ignore the background noise, and continue to serve faithfully, each in his position and in his own way, the citizens of the State of Israel," his office said.
