According to a report on Galei Tzahal, Israel is preventing the arrival of EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell from entering the country.

According to the report, Borrell submitted several requests for arrival but the Foreign Ministry failed to respond to his request. Borrell's statements against Israel as well as comparisons he made between Hamas and the current government are the apparent reason behind the impasse.

The Ministry hopes that Borrell will be made to understand that Israel is not satisfied with his conduct and, above all, that "this behavior cannot be allowed to continue", especially if the Union takes actions against Israel and finances Palestinian Arab organizations that, in Israel's view, encourage incitement.
