The search committee for the appointment of the chief statistician at the Central Bureau of Statistics will meet next week. During this week, a preparatory committee for the search committee will meet. The search process will be carried out according to the accepted procedures and threshold conditions, without any changes.
The threshold conditions for the position, among others: having a PhD in a relevant field, preferably in statistics, economics or demography; experience in conducting scientific studies in the fields of statistics and/or economics; publication of scientific studies in professional journals; international work experience in the fields of research and more.
On behalf of the Commission, Dr. Osnat Lev Zion, Director of the Cashier Center Asaf Harofeh, Director General of the Prime Minister's Office Yossi Shelli and Prof. Aviya Spivak will be on the search committee. After that, the appointment will be submitted for approval by the government.
