Labor Party chairwoman Merav Michaeli on Sunday night wrote to the Knesset Legal Adviser demanding that he prevent the vote on the so-called “Incapacitation Law”, which would block the Attorney General’s ability to announce that a Prime Minister is “incapacitated” from fulfilling his role.
"In the last few minutes, we were informed that the committee that will discuss the law is expected to meet at 8:30 in the morning in order to approve it for the first reading. The text has only been published now, this is an illegal and unacceptable procedure. I call on you to intervene and not allow the discrediting of the legislative process," said Michaeli.
