The Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved MK Moshe Tur-Paz's (Yesh Atid) bill to encourage student involvement in social and community activities.
The bill aims to reward students engaged in active reserve duty and to recognize the time spent in reserve duty as community service so that they will receive both academic credit points and a corresponding relative offset of the tuition fee.
MK Tor-Paz: "There is no greater social contribution than reserve service. I am happy to continue working for two social groups that are dear to my heart - reservists and students".
