The Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved the bill initiated by Minister Orit Strook in the previous Knesset to amend the Law on Cooperative Societies, as well as to attach a representative on Strook behalf as the Minister of Settlement and National Tasks to the National Planning Council and the Planning Committees in National Priority Areas.
Minister Orit Strook said after the decision: "We made a promise - we keep it. I will continue to promote rural settlement in the Galilee, the Negev, the Judea and Samaria border, and in Judea and Samaria. After years of government neglect, this government will finally act in accordance with the value of new settlements, and in response to it."
