A man in his 50s was found passed out in his cell in a detention center in Tel Aviv.
The detainee was taken to Wolfson Hospital where his condition deteriorated and a hospital doctor declared him dead.
The detainee, a resident of Israel's Central District, divorced with no children, was arrested on suspicion of theft. This is his 14th incarceration. His family has been notified.
