A resident of the northern Arab-Israeli town of Jisr al-Zarqa in his 20s was arrested at the end of an incident in which policemen in the village heard gunshots inside a residential compound, at the end of which they seized a Carlo-type submachine gun with a full cartridge and ammunition.
The resident was arrested on suspicion of shooting and possession of an illegal weapon, and today he will be brought before a court to extend his detention.
