The police arrested a public employee from Rahat on suspicion of defrauding state funds of over NIS 100,000.
According to the suspicion, the employee allegedly used to fictitiously enter into the systems entitlements to financial benefits for dozens of jobseekers from the Arab society (some of them family members), thereby allowing those jobseekers and income support recipients to fraudulently receive tens of thousands of shekels from state funds without reporting as required by official procedures.
