The Knesset plenum approved the proposal to amend the Knesset's statutes, which states that the Knesset must choose within four months from the date of its establishment its representatives to the selection and appointment committees for the selection of judges.
The deadline for electing Knesset representatives to these committees will be June 15, seven months from the date the Knesset's term begins.
51 Knesset members supported the proposal and 47 who opposed it.
