The crisis with Minister Meir Porush is close to being resolved. In this news it was announced today (Friday) that Prime Minister Netanyahu will bring to the cabinet meeting on Sunday a special decision-making proposal, according to which responsibility for the annual celebration in Meron this year will be transferred to Minister Porush.

The Minister for Jerusalem and Israel's Traditions announced on Tuesday his resignation from his position as the person in charge of the celebration. In a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu, the minister lamented the division of powers regarding the management of the event, the attempts to interfere with the project and the lack of responsiveness to urgent needs. According to the minister: "I am charged with responsibility without authority." Those around Porush said that if the minister does not accept responsibility for Meron, he will have difficulty continuing as a minister in the government.
