Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai held a situation assessment with the senior command staff of the police after the protest events that took place during the day (Wednesday) and ahead of a series of protests planned for tonight.
"The police see the right to protest as a cornerstone in a democratic country, but at the same time we will not allow violations of public order. I call on all citizens to behave responsibly, without provocations or violence against the police officers and undertake that the use of force will only be used in the event of injury to police officers or danger to citizens and public order," he said.
