Foreign Minister Eli Cohen concludes his diplomatic visit to Germany this morning, during which he met with his colleague Analana Barbuk and Germany's Intelligence Minister, Wolfgang Schmidt.
Foreign Minister Cohen and Minister Barbuk agreed that Israel and Germany are jointly committed to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
"Germany stands by Israel on the Iranian issue. Here, too, we understand that only significant political and economic levers, together with a credible military threat, will be able to bring about results against the terrorist regime in Tehran. Israel and Germany will also cooperate in the fields of energy and regional security, and we will jointly advance projects to expand the Abraham Accords," Cohen was quoted as saying.
