The Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir held a special discussion on the use of fireworks during riots.
During the discussion, security officials presented the enforcement and prevention measures available against the use of fireworks.
The minister recommended declaring fireworks as explosives, which would allow the police to file charges for possession of explosives against those amassing fireworks. In addition, he ordered targeted operations against those who trade or possess fireworks illegally.
