Prime Minister Netanyahu's office responded to the statement from the UN Human Rights Council that called for a halt to the legislation to reform the judicial system.
"The UN Human Rights Council is a biased and ineffective body. Instead of condemning the repeated violations of human rights in Iran, Syria, the Palestinian Authority and many other places in the world, there are those in the council who decided today to criticize the State of Israel for deciding to carry out a reform that will only strengthen democracy in Israel. What an absurdity."
