Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir responded to the harsh criticism of Yesh Atid MK Ram Ben-Barak who claimed in the Knesset plenum that, "even in Germany the Nazis came to power in a democratic fashion," referring to the right wing winning the Israeli elections.
"All the red lines were crossed. It started with [protesters] blocking the homes of MKs and ministers [so they wouldn't be able to make it to the vote on the judiciary reform], moved to anarchy and roadblocks, and now Ben-Barak is comparing members of the government to Nazis. I demand that Yair Lapid immediately condemn this shameful comparison," he was quoted as saying.
