Police officers from the Tel Aviv District Maritime Police Unit were called to an emergency incident near the Herzliya marina, upon receiving a report of a windsurfer failing to lift being swept dangerously close to the breakwater.
The surfer, a man in his 70s, was rescued when a police vessel reached him and officers threw a rope to pull his board back towards safer waters.
