About a week after Defense Minister Benny Gantz met with Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, the PA “foreign ministry” on Saturday called on the International Criminal Court in The Hague to expedite investigations into human rights violations and "crimes" by the “occupation and the settlers” and bring them to justice.

The PA “foreign ministry” said in a statement that "the escalation of the aggression of the occupation against our people continues in various forms, especially with regard to the continued demolition of houses and the distribution of demolition orders."

The PA bureau also noted that it views as “very serious” the recent visit by Defense Minister Gantz and senior IDF officials in the Jabal Sabih (Evyatar) area, which was intended, according to the statement, to "escalate aggression" against the Palestinians.

In this context, the PA “foreign ministry” called on the international community and the UN Security Council to exert maximum pressure on the "occupying force" to evacuate Evyatar and return the land to its rightful owners.
