Doctors found an object which had been left in a woman's ear for 22 years, ever since she was a child.
Jordan, a 26-year-old TikTok user, shared the story in a video she posted to social media captioned: ‘When you go to the doctor for a cold and they flush your ears out and find a surprise.’
While flushing out her ear, doctors found a grommet which had been there since she was four-years-old. Grommets of this sort are sometimes inserted into children's eardrums to allow air to pass through and prevent fluid build-up.
The grommets are supposed to fall out on their own after six-to-twelve months, but in Jordan's case it remained in her ear for 22 years,
After the grommet was removed, Jordan said that she "had no idea it was possible to hear this well."
