Psychological warfare:Al-Jazeera TV on Sunday evening published previously undisclosed footage from the period in which Gilad Shalit was held captive by the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.

The footage shows Shalit, who was abducted to the Gaza Strip in 2006 and returned to Israel in an exchange deal about five years later, exercising, shaving and writing behind bars.

One of the kidnappers recounts the moment of the abduction and says, "I started firing and throwing grenades at the inside of the tank. We reached the tank, and a terrified soldier came out of the turret and surrendered. We were ordered to take him."

Hamas also presented a recording of what it claims is a missing Israeli who is heard saying, "I am in captivity, I hope the State of Israel still exists."

Marwan Issa, deputy head of Hamas' military wing, said in an interview with Al-Jazeera, "In the last operation we were united, we acted against the enemy in the campaign for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and we also acted on the issue of the prisoner exchange deal."
