Likud MK May Golan excoriated right-wing lawmakers in the opposition who are poised to form a national unity government, comparing them to terrorist suicide bombers.

Speaking on the Knesset Channel Sunday afternoon, Golan – a long-time activist from south Tel Aviv who first gained attention for her efforts to promote the deportation of illegal immigrants from Israel – blasted Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett and New Hope chief Gideon Sa’ar, comparing the two to Islamic suicide bombers.

“What makes leaders dangerous is when they have no way of going back. Naftali Bennett and Gideon Sa’ar have no way of backing out of this. So, despite all the differences, I compare them today to suicide bombers.”

“Why am I making that comparison? Because they are like terrorists who believe in nothing else, who go out for their suicide mission, and even if they know that they are going to die, that doesn’t bother them.”

“They’re going out to a suicide mission. They don’t care what happens in the end. They want to commit suicide. They know they have nowhere left to turn. That’s Bennett and Sa’ar, and those are the people who are going to be running our country. And I won’t apologize [for saying this].”
