Police have arrested a suspect in the string of vandalism and attacks against synagogues in Riverdale, New York.

Jordan Burnette, 29, was charged yesterday with burglary as a hate crime.

Jessica Corey, the commanding officer of the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force, said that Burnette “faces numerous charges related to the many acts of vandalism as hate crimes that have taken place in this community,"

Four synagogues in Riverdale have been repeatedly targeted by rock-throwing and vandalism over the last two weeks. The synagogues include the Riverdale Jewish Center, the Conservative Synagogue Adath Israel of Riverdale, Young Israel of Riverdale and Chabad of Riverdale.

Video surveillance from the scenes showed the same suspect throwing rocks at different synagogues.
