According to updated Health Ministry figures, 5,253 people received a positive coronavirus diagnosis in the last 24 hours, out of 96,835 people tested.
There are currently 639 people in serious condition in the country's hospitals, of whom 165 are on ventilators.
The adjusted death toll now stands at 3,314 people.
