
Thirty new coronavirus-related fatalities were reported across Israel over the weekend, including twenty-four deaths reported on Saturday and six more as of Sunday evening, bringing the total death toll since the pandemic began to 1,236.
A total of 3,790 new cases of the virus were diagnosed Saturday, down from 5,301 new diagnoses on Friday.
Since the pandemic first began there have been 187,396 cases diagnosed in Israel. Of those, 133,898 ended in recovery.
There are currently 52,262 active cases of the coronavirus, of which 50,967 are being treated at home or in coronavirus hotels.
There are an additional 1,295 coronavirus patients being treated in hospitals.
Of those, 643 are listed in serious condition, with a further 241 in moderate condition.
One-hundred-and-seventy are on respirators.
Of the tests conducted Saturday, 9.1% came back positive, down from 10.0% the day before.
On Friday, the Israeli government imposed a nationwide lockdown, the country’s second since the pandemic broke out.
