Finance Minister Yisrael Katz and Labor and Social Affairs Minister Itzik Shmuli set up an assistance fund for social organizations that will begin accepting applications starting tomorrow.

Organizations whose income is affected by a rate higher than 25% will be entitled to grants in the amounts of between NIS10,000 and NIS400,000.

Arutz Sheva has learned that organizations assisting illegal infiltrators will also be included in the list of grant recipients.

According to the new criteria approved by Minister Katz, eligible organizations are those that are non-profit and that more than 50% of their activities are in providing social services to populations in need of assistance according to statutory definitions, and whose turnover in 2018 was between NIS 500,000 and NIS 20 million.

Im Tirtzu Movement Director Matan Peleg reacted sharply to government budget disbursal to organizations that support infiltrators:

"We won't agree in any way that you distribute public funds to non-profit organizations that benefit from the funding of foreign governments and state entities," Peleg added.

Minister Katz did not immediately respond to the claims brought in this article.
