The government is considering imposing closures on nine areas across the country, including Modi'in Illit, Ramla, Beit Shemesh, Lod, Jerusalem, Kiryat Malachi, Bnei Brak, Ashdod and Raanana.

The Ministry of Health has updated that since midnight another 632 verified coronavirus infections have been diagnosed, bringing the number of active patients in the country to 14,516. It was also reported that the condition of 113 patients is serious, and that 39 of these are on respiration. Two other patients have died, and at present the number of deaths due to the virus is 344.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz went into isolation this morning, on suspicion of exposure to a coronavirus patient, a family friend, earlier this week.

The alternate prime minister feels good and continues to manage the affairs of the ministry and the rest of his public affairs from isolation. He said, "after consulting with medical officials, I will conduct a corona test and epidemiologic examination and closely follow the instructions. There is no room to take risks."
