The IDF's Home Front Command on Monday revealed which yeshivas have become coronavirus hotspots, Kikar Hashabbat reported.

Excluding the Beit Matityahu yeshiva, which has the highest number of infected students, 63 yeshiva students have been diagnosed with coronavirus, in two well-known haredi yeshivas.

One of the affected yeshivas is Ateret Shlomo (Sorotzkin) in Rishon Lezion, which according to News 12 has 23 confirmed coronavirus cases so far, out of 800 students. Though this yeshiva implemented the "capsule" method, its students went home for Shabbat (Sabbath), and upon returning to yeshiva, began to infect others in their capusles.

The second yeshiva, Kikar Hashabbat discovered, is Yesodot Hatorah in northern Tel Aviv, where 40 students were diagnosed with coronavirus. Those students who tested positive for the disease have begun moving to the "coronavirus hotels" intended for the haredi community.

At least 230 of Beit Matityahu's students have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Some of the students have been evacuated to coronavirus hotels, while others will be evacuated in the near future.

According to statistics presented by Interior Minister Aryeh Deri (Shas), the infection rate in yeshivas which employ the capsule method is less than 0.01%.
