Terrorists operating out of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip fired three rockets towards Israeli territory Sunday evening.

In the initial attack, two rockets were fired, followed by a third launch later Sunday night.

"Two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory," an IDF spokesperson said following the first two rocket launches.

Warning sirens were sounded in multiple Israeli towns in the Sadot HaNegev district near the Gaza border, including Kfar Maimon, Tushia, and Alumim. Residents reported hearing explosions in the area.

Authorities say the two rockets landed in open areas, causing no damage or injuries, with the third projectile intercepted and destroyed by a missile fired by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system.

Last week, terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired multiple rockets into the Mediterranean, in an attempt to intimidate Israel and stifle its plans of proceeding with the sovereignty plan, under which Israeli sovereignty would be applied to large swaths of Judea and Samaria.
