Yamina Chairman MK Naftali Bennett today visited the self-employed business owners' protest tent and there spoke to Eyal, a resident of Lod, who worked until the coronavirus crisis as a sound technician.

He heard about Eyal's predicament since the virus erupted, who had trouble holding back his tears. "I'm 50 years old," Eyal said, choking up. "I do physical labor, I unload the truck. My son wanted to give me money, I said, 'No, that's for your wedding'."

After the meeting, MK Bennett wrote on Twitter, "Heartbreaking, a sound engineer from Lod who was told by the State to stop working because of coronavirus, and told me that his son decided to forgo a wedding event to give his father money to survive.

"These aren't spoiled people. These are people who have worked all their lives, paid taxes, and have now been abandoned.

"Government ministers, stop dealing with nonsense will focus on livelihood and bread," Bennett demanded.
