Following an Arutz Sheva article on the appearance of the Ministry for the Development of the Negev and Galilee logo on a flyer promoting an LGBT event, the Ministry has ordered its logo removed.
In a statement, the Ministry responded: "The Ministry for the Development of the Periphery, Negev, and Galilee is not connected in any fashion to the advertisement which was sent out by the Asher Regional Council."
"The Director-General of the Ministry for the Development of the Periphery, Negev, and Galilee has requested that the Regional Council's chairman remove the Ministry's logo from the ad in question."
Normally, LGBT events are funded by organizations, and often receive funding from the local municipality.
The event in question is part of the "pride month" events, and is partly funded by the Reform Movement.
