A military aircraft on Monday evening attacked an infrastructure used for underground operations by the Hamas terrorist organization in southern Gaza.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that tanks also attacked military posts belonging to the organization.

The attacks were carried out in response to the rocket that was fired earlier from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. The rocket exploded in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council.

There were no injuries or damages reported. A Red Color alert was activated in the app and in open space only.

On Sunday, an incendiary balloon was found near Moshav Tidhar in the Bnei Shimon Regional Council. A resident who discovered the balloon called the police who neutralized the explosives.

In the past month and a half, relative quiet has been recorded on the Israeli-Gaza border. The defense establishment has warned that if the sovereignty move is implemented, there may be an escalation on this border.
